  • God!!!!

  • I speak in tongues! It is not from the devil! The devil doesn't want us to get it because it's power! Speaking in tongues is to build up not only the body of Christ but to build up the believer! THe Lord tells us "But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit." Jude 1:20 Read act 2. All the apostles got the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Jesus told them to "wait for the promise of the father."

  • @flashfire320 Jesus isn't racist and He doesn't play favorites! God created every skin, eye, and hair color. I'm very thankful that my God loves color and diverity! "...for the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7

God loves you very much! You are special to Him and He cares about you. He knows everything about you. He loves you no matter what you have done in your past. He wants you to love Him too. God bless you :)

  • I do agree with his point of view on "tongues". It is in the scriptures, clearly written and explained in the Word.

  • James 5:14-15

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

The "elders" I would imagine were mature devout followers of the Lord, men with authority and power...and then the one being annointed must have faith. Of course this scripture says "save" not "heal"

  • I don't think I can agree with Mr. Stanley on his statement on the gift of healing, my uderstanding of the scriptures is that some people have the ability to pray for people and God will heal them. Jesus did it, the disciples did it. Jesus also always told people their faith healed them. So healing depended on the power of the person performing the healing and the faith of the one receiving it.

  • @egatz4u He IS WRONG! Same here, I did not ask for the gift, but I did receive it! I WAS VERY SURPRISED BY HIS VIEWS ON THIS POINT.

  • "If it's not in this book, don't believe it."

    Truth.

  • Baptist General Convention of Texas keeps a confidential file of ministers reported by churches for sexual abuse. When a church itself reports a minister and when the BGCT determined there was substantial evidence -- the minister’s name simply sits in a file and people in the pews are not warned. Stanley's church employed a pedophile & KNEW but DIDN'T INFORM PARENTS. Google the pedophiles name "Thomas Edward Gilmore" & stopbaptistpredators.dot ORG for full sickening story.

  • this is the first time i ever listened to Dr. Stanley. he is a pretty good teacher. i learnt so so much here
