@Graffight - It's absolutely amazing to me that I get the same "yes", "no" or "wait" answer from the ball of lint that I pray to. That ball of lint is so smart, and always knows exactly what's right for me. You should try it some time! Seriously. Find a ball of lint, and pray to it. I'll bet YOU get exactly the same answers, too!
Apparently 'god' is too busy helping Tim Tebow throw a football to care about the starving kids, or helping that one guy find his keys when he accidentally left them in his jacket pocket on his other, other coat.
@TheDeLoreanFlux - You have fallen into the misconseption that Christians expect God to always answer prayer with "yes". This is an Athiest position, not a christian one. Most christians understand that God says "no" sometimes. This is upsetting to atheists because it puts this into a place where it's not testable. This is an atheist problem...not a christian one. Nowhere in the bible does it say that God is going to do absolutely everything you ask him to exactly when you ask him to do it.
@Graffight "the conclusion God does not exist does not follow from "God doesn't do my bidding."" No kidding. "God does not do my bidding" is not the only thing I am taking into account when I ask "how can you think god is real?"
Clearly if prayer doesn't work, that doesn't PROVE god's existence, nor does it disprove. It just says "either there is no god, or there is and it doesn't answer prayers".
@TheDeLoreanFlux - the conclusion God does not exist does not follow from "God doesn't do my bidding."...the conclusion that should follow is, maybe I should get off MY lazy duff and do something, because it's MY fault stuff is messed up in the first place....not God's.

Yeah, it's a shame that all of those starving children in the world can't get nourishment from "God's Love".
