The hydroelectric power station came on line in December 2008. The small community in King Edward Cove is now powered by the water percolating from the island's mountainous interior. Water collects at Gull Lake, the excess running off down Grytviken waterfall. This videoclip is attached to the monthly newsletter from the sub-antarctic island of South Georgia at www.sgisland.gs
