I thank my God for men and women like Blake. I breath the fresh crisp air in the autumn breeze because of them. I scold my children in love hoping they will grow in character to be as Blake. I wake to warmth to food and peace because of Blake and his kind. We celebrate and worry in life due to these heros. I cry for our loss with you. Peace and love to you and your family from mine.

I'm so thankful our service men and women are honored in this way and afforded this level of respect. Broke my heart, made me cry, and made me even more proud (and grateful) to be protected by these men and women. RIP LCpl Rodgers...and all the others. You will not be forgotten.
(from a "liberal" with some traditional values, whose only affiliation with the military is her respect and gratitude for the men and women in uniform. we do exist, and we care about you. :)
