I just hate the arrogant lies in assuming that all good things which have happended in islamic countries means that the "islamic civlization" wins. It is SOO retarded. Things invented in a christian country does not make Christianity suppirior to anything. Things invented in nazi germany does not make nazism a "scientific ideology".
Some islamic countries had politics which promoted new ideas, while others did not. But none of those are to islam's credit. It is that simple.

@hassejensen35 The problem is that there are a large number of Muslims who think because some people in the past have achieved something and just so happened to be Muslim it some how allows them as a Muslim to bask in the glow of that particular person. What I find funny are the number of Muslims who will say how great the likes of Ibn Rushd are whilst ignoring that their forbears considered such people as heretics but apparently today its all ok to call these 'heretics' as 'great Muslims'.
