this is where I first heard this song and today, some 20 years later, I finally found out that it's name is The Minstrel Boy

The movie is "The Man Who Would Be King" and the song is "The Minstrel Boy", an old Irish folk song.

lovely song and great movie. does anybody know his name and where can I find it on internet?

@DoctorEeam Don't forget that Zardoz was released a year before The Man Who Would Be King. That has got to be one of the weirdest films Connery has ever done and he got some very mixed reviews.
Him and Caine were superb in this movie though.

"Peachie, I'm heartily ashamed for gettin' you killed, instead of being able to go home rich like you deserved .... on account of me being so Bleedin' High and Bloody Mighty. Can you forgive me?" A great line. Then Sean leads them in a soft singing of the Minstrel Boy.
