In 1984, Leon Russell Released His Version Of This Classic Song Originally Performed By Danny O'Keefe In 1972. Elvis And Charlie Rich Have Also Recorded It....But Nothing Quite Like This Non-Charting Version By Multi-Talented Leon Russell. Good Time Charlie Gets A "Light Rock" Make-Over Along With Great Backing Vocals And A Superb Saxophone. I Suppose We Could Do Without The Drum Machine...But Hey, It Was The 80's!

Wow. I know I have heard this version before. I recognize the Paradise lable. I either own it or it is at the Radio Station I worked for. I like this version Mike. Kinda a dreamy feel to it. Love the sax solo.

Hi Mike, Although I can't find it, I believe I had on vinyl a Leon Russell LP with he and his wife Mary Russell on the cover. I especially liked Wind Song and I think the other one was called Lavender Blue. As I recall, Mary sang on the two songs. Are you familiar with the LP? Thanks..Joe
