Martin L. Stolz, author of the Executive Briefing Work-Life in Germany is interviewed by Danielle Hartmann, Director of Corporate Partnership at the Boston College Center for Work & Family. Dr. Stolz provided some insights into public and corporate approaches to work life integration in Germany and responded to the following questions:

1. What are the main drivers for work-life integration in Germany?
2. What approaches to work-life integration by the government and private sector have helped Germany's position as an economic leader in Europe?
3. What challenges still remain?
4. Because the role of women around the world varies so distinctly from country to country, can you talk a little more about current gender dynamics in Germany?
5. Of all of the corporate work-life programs that you reviewed, what stood out to you?
