Banning the niqab has little to do with gender equality and everything to do with cultural oppression. It is blatantly prejudiced.

Those who think the niqab should come off might question the other gendered dress codes common in Western societies. Um. like shirts? Or pants? those are arbitrary cultural covering as well...
