  • the song sucks, it's has no relation with the film!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree the song was not adaquate for the intensity of the message of the film. But the message is important in the present times we face. May the rip van winkles awaken.

  • Revelation 13: 16-18 - To all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to be given a mark on the right hand or on their foreheads, that no man might buy or sell except one that had the mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. He that hath understanding count the number of the beast, for it is man's number. and his is Six hundred..

"Evil is always the denial of the exercise of good and never a sign of contempt and neglect of a silent and vengeful god."

  • I think it's cool that the movie was actually made in 1984. I like the song too. We've just finished reading the book in English class and now we're going to watch the movie. I hope it's this movie though. There's other film adaptions to the novel.

  • @miriyaa yes it does, sexcrime is a newspeak word. the song sucks, but next time read the book.

  • Eurytmics was polular with the song "1984",and they topped musiclist under summer and autumn 1984,on the radio and telly.

  • @miriyaa Because the movie is depressing and they didn't want anything but 40 year old political activists to watch it.

  • Gosh, sounds just like things going on and beginning here in the US!
