I agree the song was not adaquate for the intensity of the message of the film. But the message is important in the present times we face. May the rip van winkles awaken.

I think it's cool that the movie was actually made in 1984. I like the song too. We've just finished reading the book in English class and now we're going to watch the movie. I hope it's this movie though. There's other film adaptions to the novel.
