Performers from all over the world were on hand in Istanbul for the International Turkish Language Olympics. Dancers from different countries did traditional Turkish folk dances. Also, the Olympic chorus sang songs giving peace messages to the world much to the delight of all who had come to witness the event. //

Millions of people around the world together with hundreds at the Istanbul Show and Congress Center watched the outstanding performances of the students.

Students who prepared for the International Turkish Olympics for the folk dances category performed like professionals despite having little time to practice.

The choreography of the folk dances in traditional Turkish costumes was based on the theme of educational volunteers who planted seeds of love all around the world.

Another showcase was on good against evil or peace against war. The unifying spirit of Anatolia spanned all around the world through Rumi and Yunus Emre from the Istanbul Show and Congress Center.

The Olympic chorus sang the lyrics of different races and colors in Turkish, a common language of peace.

They sang of peace and harmony.

"We are the Children of World, the same branch of a tree, embracing the universe, and living in peace together."

The 550 students who took part in this year's hugely successful Turkish Language Olympics bid a fond farewell to Turkiye through the joy of song that brought them all together.

  • I'd love to learn Turkish. Turkey is truly a country of the future.... And I'm from a country that is 100% in Europe, but honestly... Do you expect Turkey to be always begging their participation in a rotten organization like the EU? They grow 7% each year, Portugal is stagnated and Greece is decreasing more than 7% this year. Only if Turkey is fool will still want to enter the EU. And yet, as a democratic country, Turkey inspired the Arab Spring and is increasing its relations with former USSR

  • Turkey does not need EU anymore. But Europe does need Turkey. That's why they always feel inconvenient when Turkey deals with central asian turks or middle east muslims or balkan countries. There is a huge potential for turks of Turkey in respect of anything. The attempt to join EU in my opinion was a tactic to solve several problem in Turkey itself. From now on I hope Turkey will stick to it's real roots and not EU a union of failure not even after 10 years after it's establishment :)

  • you have right...i belive we are to good for EU...EU should pay money (lot of them) to meat us in EU...

Its not a simple country...its a paradise...same as brazil...like people of this countrIES...greeting to our friends from brazil !

  • my parents are driving before 40-45 years to germany for living and working there.
