A Short film for the people of Site-C Kayelitsha, a South African Township in Cape Town and anyone else who might find its information useful, on the situation of HIV/AIDS. The short newsreel focuses on the great works that are going on in the Township community and identifies some of the main problems and solutions to them.
The film intends to help break stigma by talking openly about the facts of HIV/AIDS. Making the film was half of the plan; the second phase, after filming with the community, is to screen it at one of our 'Community Movie Meetings'. Attracting the local community with media from within their own community, we invite representatives from the various initiatives discovered to hold an open discussion (the community meeting part) after the shared experience of the open and frank way in which the film deals with HIV/AIDS. Many children came to the Movie meeting so we considered it a huge success.
