As for monetizing, I got one of those invitations too. And it's pretty exciting to think we could make a few bucks on the side, but I wouldn't want viewers to think my posts about the "parent of FTM" experience have ANY financial motivation. If I ever see an ad on itsTtime2010 or FTMKickStart I think I'll be disappointed.

My son's shrink was good for all of us (him, me, and his mum). The best thing he did was to facilitate conversations we needed to have with each other--sounds like your shrink did the same. Also, if your mum is like me, she might say things whether she believes them or not to see how they sound, and to see how others react, before actually deciding it's what she really believes. Obviously that can lead to problems, but it's a documented learning style.

Respecto a tu madre si es un tanto decepcionante, a mí me pasa parecido. Ellas no soportan la idea de perder una hija (aunque en mi caso tiene otras 2 XD). No lo sé, quizás debas de ser un poco tolerante y paciente con ella (aunque ella no lo sea contigo XD), con el tiempo deberá aceptarlo poco a poco.
