九龍倉碼頭於1886年使用,位於九龍尖沙咀西部海旁,為當時九龍規模最大的碼頭。1963年將原有的第一號碼頭重建為海運大廈並於1966年3月22日開幕。

  • I was there in that wharf in 1956. I was on President Wilson third class voyage. That was one of my most enlightenning trips in my life, full of hope. I was coming with my mother and siblings to join my father in New York.---dancewu(dot)net

  • In 1989, I went back to that wharf location next to Star Ferry, there was no more Wharf but a gigantic Ocean Terminal!---dancewu(dot)net

  • @georgewu5 THE CHINESE NUCLEAR ENGINEER, CHIN-SIR-SHIN, TOOK THE BOAT WITH HIS FAMILY ABOARD PRESIDENT WILSON FROM SAN FRANCISCO BACK TO THE MOTHER LAND CHINA IN AROUND 1950'S. HE CHANGED CHINA FROM A WEAK NATION INTO AN INDEPENDENT CHINA ALMOST INSTANTLY!

  • @georgewu5 WHEN SGTHKP MENTIONED THAT SS CLEVELAND, AS MY OLD MEMORY SURFACED ONCE AGAIN, CLEVELAND SOUNDED MORE FAMILIAR THAN WILSON. SORRY THAT I DOCUMENTED PRESIDENT WILSON INSTEAD.

  • I was there at that time. It looks so familiar to me and recalled a lot of good memory. Thanks for sharing this great film.

  • Hi, Yes, we were both living in Hong Kong in the 1960s. You are much younger than me. When I went to San Francisco, I was 30 years old and had already worked for Hong Kong Government for 12 years. My 2 younger brothers also worked in Government Department and retired recently.

You're lucky that you still staying in Hong Kong and working for Government. I could see from internet that Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station is saved and hotel is built next to it . I miss it so much.

  • Hi, so you and me were staying in Hong kong in the 1960s. I was 13 years old when i went to San Franciso in 1969,

Now I still working in Hong Kong in a Government Department. The Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station that you had worked for is now a hotel and shopping centre.

  • Yes, It's great.

I boarded USS President Cleveland at Ocean Terminal in Jan. 1968 to go to USA. It took me 22 days to arrive at San Francisco and then flied Western Airline's Boeing 707 to Los Angeles and lived there since then. I was a HK Police officer stationed in Tsim Sha Tsui Station and always patrolled that area.
