  • Do you reckon you could use the class 66 on this train?

  • maybe if the 67 had not been ordered for the uk.

  • Whats that noise the rear coach is making? Sounds like some sort of reversing warning? Maybe it's due to the doors being unlocked and the train moving?

  • Its Acually a Walky talky, Theres a person inside the last coach of the sleeper coaches too tell the driver (He has a Walky talky aswell) of 67009 to stop at the right point at the platform ;).

  • How long does it reverse for to get to f.william?

I presume it makes it easier for when the train empties and the loco and the stock can leave. But this is is quite interesting. Not something we see too often in uk rail, for the most part. I love the romance behind this service.

  • OK, I just noticed Yownamymous' comment! Sorry about that mate

  • Bordercollies10, I was replying to Yownanymous re his mention of possible use of a 66 on the train

  • I like them too! I've loved them for all my life! :) Nice to see that there is other consistent railway fans!

  • True, but it's a Class 67 in the video. Still a diesel train though! :)

  • so do i ever sice i was 2 and now 8 years later i still like trains.

  • the beeping is the "confidence tone" on the shunters radio confirming contact with the driver - if the driver loses comms with the shunter - rules are to stop immediately.

With a 66 on the train, there would be no electrical train supply. hence no power to keep batts charged and for lights / fire alarms / etc.

  • :) fair enough, nothing (well not much) against the 66's but if i wanna see a 66 i could go nearly anywhere in britain, and now north western europe, and expect to find one!

  • I like the 66 and 67 FYI!
