...So "thumbs up" at the notions you set forth, but the case in pt is, this kind of thing is Done. corrective..responsive, whatever way you see it. ...is common malpractice of the refs. . .and I'm not positive falling in lieu or balancing yourself is ever 'safer' but I can fathom what your suggestion, My pt was he wanted and played for the foul;-)

@RydahReborn hard to be logical concerning Kobe. Esp since he's had irrational actions taken place the span of his career, directly into his favor. And I know what you mean about different gm sits cannot be interchanged. but I'm saying just period. No need for foul the fool. ...really that's the REAL REASONit was a no call! .. had he missed we all know they'd horned a late whistle. I've seen 'makeup' calls for L.A. since forever. . .

@NewWorldRob It's not logical to say that just because a player got away with a call repeatedly that you don't call the blatant foul on him. Next play mindset, you don't think about the chain of events when it's something like fouls. That's how I see it at least. Kobe didn't exaggerate, he shot the 3 falling backwards, so it's not like he pretended to fall especially at the angle he was in the air, probably safer than trying to land.

@RydahReborn first) kobe gets way too many non-calls made for him as is. Second) They Won the game already dude. Third) Kobe exaggerated, making himself fall and shit. fourth) The ball looked to already be gone from kobescontrol when the defender swiped kobes release hand...in this instances, it is the officials personal discretion (aside from the book of rules) to, lol 'blow or swallow'...

I absolutely LOVE the silence of the commentators that immediately follows the shot. They were not expecting it to go it, and they could not have made it more obvious that they didn't want it to go in. No screaming, no excitement, nothing. Unfortunately they had to speak at some point and so it was blunt and to the point.
