If you are one of the millions of homeowners experiencing foreclosure, there is help out there for you, but it is imperative that you contact a person with years of hands on experience and true knowledge of the local real estate market.

Mike Ochoa, a local real estate broker and an expert on SHORT SALES in San Antonio, Texas, says, "Foreclosure can happen to anybody in any financial income bracket--it does not discriminate or forgive. Foreclosure is not something that you should hide from in hopes that it will go away, it won't. Foreclosure can be prevented but you must act quickly."

A SHORT SALE occurs when the lender agrees to take less than the full amount required to pay off the existing loan because the outstanding balance is greater than the proceeds realized from the sale of the property.

The goal of a short sale is to maximize the options for a person already in hardship.

Ochoa says, "Foreclosure is something that many people think can never happen to them, but the reality is it can happen to anyone, but there are solutions. You can sell your property, refinance your loan, or negotiate a forebearance agreement."

If you know someone in the San Antonio area that may be losing their home, call Mike Ochoa at 210-593-4150, or if you live out of area call 1-800-635-9110.
