@stubs31 THINK! God never threatened going to a place to be eternally burned in Genesis. Moses never taught eternal damnation in His torah. The Prophets of Israel never taught God would burn people alive. As a matter of fact, when Israel burned their own children to Moloch, God said such a thing never entered His mind. Well, if He knew most of mankind was going to Hell, then He would have lied, wouldn't He? Jesus is the Savior of the world world, the Bible says it and I believe it.

"Does that mean Hitler is going to Heaven?" Oh, come on Strobel... if Jeffrey Dalmer can repent and believe and still get in to Heaven in your view. What's wrong with Hitler getting into Heaven? I thought your theology taught you that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. That means you are no less hell deserving than Hitler, Mr. Strobel. This is not what I believe, of course, but it is what your theology teaches so about some consistency here.

@PhillipEugeneTripp Justin Martyr
"Every man will receive the eternal punishment or reward which his actions deserve. Indeed, if all men recognized this, no one would choose evil even for a short time, knowing that he would incur the eternal sentence of fire. On the contrary, he would take every means to control himself and to adorn himself in virtue, so that he might obtain the good gifts of God and escape the punishments" (First Apology 12 [A.D. 151]).

@PhillipEugeneTripp Hell is not just a theoretical possibility. Jesus warns us that real people go there. He says, "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few" (Matt. 7:13–14). Many people do not know this. But if you study the early Church fathers, they were all Catholic in teachings-communion,

@PhillipEugeneTripp My family is very Catholic. Hell has always been a fear of mine. Hardest to understand for me. And, yet second are the very few saved! Saints have died with 60,000 like St. Bernard. He and a monk went to heaven; 6 purgatory (it is a good and holy thing to pray for the dead that they may be loosed of their sins) and rest to hell. How many do you know try to love God? I know two people outside of family in 15 years. Met 100's in college and work...

@PhillipEugeneTripp "And if your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; it is better for you to enter life crippled or lame, than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the eternal fire," (Matt. 18:8) We are made in God's imagine and on many levels. Mainly, it means that the trinity is the will, intelligent and memory. We all hear these three talking always even in dreams at night. Also, abilities to love, good, evil, etc.

@PhillipEugeneTripp Yes, we disagree with all sins are equal. Jesus even stated 'he who delivered me too you, committed the greater sin.' Serious and deadly sin is mortal sin in the bible. God told Adam 'he would surely die if he ate the apple.' He ate it. Didn't die. What happened! He died spirituality with God which is infinitely worse. God does DESIRE all to be saved, but not all desire to be saved. God would not have been a good teacher if He never taught such a core idea

@6630mcdo Mortal Sin??!!!.........I mean I respect that you are coming from a catholic background, but all sins are equal before God. I respect what you believe but this is all Catholic Dogma you are coming out with, God knows the naiviety of Human beings already, thats what the Reconcilliation via the cross is about, the love of God restoring creation with the creator : God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4
-
@PhillipEugeneTripp Hell is eternal since a mortal sin is eternal in its essence and natural. When a sinner commits a mortal sin, he sees that there is a loving God who died for him. He knows that evil or the devil is not the right choice. He knows that sins hurts himself and God. He knows he is turning his back towards God and perhaps forever. Yet he still does it. Humans are naive and ignorance, or we too would go to hell have the first mortal sin.

@6630mcdo a lifetime worth of sins resulting in eternal seperation or depending on what you believe - Eternal DAMNATION is certainly against justice. What jesus is warning about is the above words that i have mentioned particularly Gehenna. ANd no he did not speak in simple terms so that all could understand, he spoke in parables to keep the kingdom of god as a mystery, revealed only to the elect
-
@PhillipEugeneTripp I know what most of them mean literally. But it is clear that Jesus spoke of an 'eternal fire'. It is theologically impossible and illogical for hell not to be eternal. It is against justice. Jesus warmed us often about hell. He spoke in simple terms so all could understand.
(continue) all that relates to God, the devil, eternal life, the resurrection, Heaven, Hell, the angels as age-lasting/temporary doesn't make any sense. God will not be "all-in-all" except to those who obey the gospel and Gary Amirault's teachings is Not The Gospel.

@Jtaylor1 "This is a faithful saying and worthy of ALLLL acceptance. And to this end we labor and suffer reproach because we trust in the living God who is the Savior of all men especially those who believe." 1 Tim. 4:9-11 Jtaylor. I'm quoting Scripture in case you don't know it. Now you've made your comments. Please don't spam this comment section or else or spam will be removed.

Not all mankind will come to the knowledge of the truth. Ultimate reconciliation is the biggest lie invented by Satan speaking through his puppet Gary Amirault, leading everyone to damnation. Ultimate reconcilation teaches that God will literally drag everyone even the Devil and his angels back to Himself. Revelation 14 proves that everyone will still curse God and refuse to repent even through His Chastisements and dragging. If Eternal life and the resurrection is temporary then we all die.

@Jtaylor1 "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth will draw (Greek, literally drag) all mankind to myself." John 12:32 "God will have all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth" 1 Tim 2:4, KJV. As for your last comment, type into google "matthew 25:46 commentary" and tentmaker and there will be a lengthy reply to your misunderstanding of Matt. 25:46. As for the puppet, he preaches YOUR kind of Gospel. So you admit that you teach the "biggest lie invented by Satan."
