Type II Diabetes is a different disease in women. It is much more aggressive, complications start early. High amounts of Insulin because of Insulin Resistance has a toxic effect on Ovaries. Leading to increased formation of male hormone Testosterone. This leads to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Acne, Hirsuitism, irregular menstrual cycle, heavy periods and infertility.

This area of Type II Diabetes is rapidly advancing but the confusion seems to be, who will bell the cat. They have dermatological problems with Acne & Hirsuitism ( Hair growth ) keep going to the Waxing and Laser spas & dermatologists, Pigmentation problems, Irregular periods (ObyGyn), Infertility (Fertility Clinics). Often the person is very young and I feel sorry, if only they were seen and understood sooner !!??
