Actually, the visible "smoke" is miniscule water droplets, condensed from the water vapor in the air.

CO2 is not toxic, it does however displace oxygen, if you stuck your head in it you'd probably pass out, but unless you sat in a tank of the stuff you wouldn't die.

Its C02 already tons around us. The "smoke" you see is actually oxygen that is very dense and cold.
