Just when you thought it was safe to go back to Bronzeville... Director Cedric Melton's answer to the classic series "The Odd Couple," roommates Bertel and Adolf live in this historic Chicago neighborhood. Counting their pennies and their golden years, they serve as elder statesmen to residents of the "Bronzeville Arms." Outspoken Bertel serves up big laughs as he skewers lecherous lifelong buddy Adolf, who is in endless pursuit of "fine young girls." Bertel holds the apartment community together with his quick wit and sharp tongue, challenging his community to look beyond self-pity and oppression as reasons to not succeed in life. Hold on to your hats as the sparks fly and the insults begin! Writer/Director Cedric Melton has appeared in numerous television projects and independent films. He would like to bring the Bronzeville characters to life on stage or screen and is seeking partnerships or collaborations to bring this true side-splitting comedy to the masses.
