Sridevi, speaking on her father-in-law receiving the award, said, It is a great day for us. And we are all happy since he deserves the award.

I agree Hali. But my point is if sridevi chose to flaunt herself with the media, than Madhuri Dixit, wouldn't of got the support over a legend like Devi, the thing is, Madhuri gets the support of media becauseSridevi is never available for them, so they run to the item girl instead.

Chof this depends on what sort of media you are talking about. at that time 80s and 90s the media gave Sridevi her due. The media was only the press available and TV nothing else. If you go back to that period magazines you would see the truth. The internet is msleading you can get right and wrong info here as everybody can write whatever they want. Sridevi has been named by names no actress before her or after her got.

Sridevi had cover magazines with lots of titles like Roop Ki Rani, The Last Empress, Female Bachchan, ETC. There is no actress have been given a cover magazine with title "Is Sridevi a Hero?" "Heroines Cannot do Without Sridevi" or the more aggresive cover where she and Amitabh where on the cover with the title "Who is ruling the Industry?" . Can you Chof name a single actress given this scope by the media? Sridevi never interacted with the media but media never ignored her achivements.

Chof ask those Madhuri fans to provide you with Madhuri's covers. You will never see anything like that. What does that say?? even in 1995 Madhuri appeared on Movie's cover with the quote "Sridevi is Still no.1" what does this say? Sri never claimed to be no.1 and she never promoted herself as being so but who made her no.1 for over a decade? Its the same media. even a Jaya Prada in the 80s many critics have said that she is very good but she lacks one thing and that she is not a Sridevi!!!!

You see, sridevi doesn't have an ego like other actresses, if she did then she to could of flaunt herself with the media to get attention like madhuri and Ashwara Rai. If she did then madhuri and ash would of been below her.

Anyhow with media or without media Sridevi is ahead of them. She isnt referred to as The Last Empress without any reason
