"The Drifter" by White Wine was written by Roger Nichols & Paul Williams. This song was inculuded in the album "Overflow" in 1969 (Festival Records SFL-933576, FL-33576).
This version was performed by australian pop group "White Wine" and production and Conception by Gus McNeil.

Gus then assembled a studio group he dubbed White Wine to record an album & this is the album they recorded "Overflow". Among the players on the L.P. were Gus (vcls/Sax), Graham Conlon (g), Bill Twyman (b), Laurie Kemp (d), plus guests Greg Quill, John Sangster, Doug Gallacher and backing vocalists Mary Jane Boyd, Angela Jones (later of Bootleg Family) & Leonie Prior. Mike Perjanik assisted Gus with production duties.
