The fall season has always been a favorite for many outdoorsmen. Leaves change colors, temperatures cool down, hunting seasons open up, and animals become more active. DownWind Outdoors is learning that this can also be the best time of year to call in coyotes! Old dogs may forget a few DWO tricks and young coyotes are all grown up and expanding outward into new territories of their own. The new pack is un-educated and eager for their next meal as alpha dogs run them off and maintain control of their hunting grounds. And when these young coyotes are working together, it can make for some really entertaining video.

Andy and Paul set out this morning on the first frost of the year- a really cold and calm morning at a very promising property. They were determined to make up for a late season blunder last year that resulted in an outstanding coyote and kill shot, but nothing else on video. With Andy trying out the all new DWO Signature Series rabbit squealer by Crack, and Pauly taking aim with his .243, this season would start off much better then last season ended. Just a minute into calling and it would be Mr. P staring down the barrel at three !!!

  • Awesome High Quality work guy's !!!!!

    Terry, from NYPHA

  • Great footage guys!!!

  • Hey Paul. I have a Browning A Bolt w/BOSS in .243. Swift Premier 4x14x50. What bullet are you using. I was considering the Hornady Custom Super Performance Vmax in 95 gr SST. Was worried about going to a low weight bullet because of the barrel twist rate and Stability long range. I see y'all making long shots. Just wanted some 411 on the subject.

  • I love your guys videos!! They're the best! When I'm not Yote hunting I'm reading up in tips and watching videos! This is my first year hunting them, so far I havent got anything I go with my good buddies a few times a week. I'm thinking about getting a fox pro spitfire and a mouth call and the fox pro mojo. Glad to see you guys are having fun and bagging some nice ones! Good luck stay safe

  • awesome!! Great vid.... keep it up boyz

  • yeah nice vid, good shoot too! but the game call dont sound too much like an animal in distress

it really doesn't! I feel it has to be a higher pitch! more of a squeal

  • This has got to be some of the coolest footage ive seen by you guys, love the howling!! I hunt a lot of farm land in Oswego county with a friend, but we havent had much success in the past two winters that we've been hunting other than a couple fox. Theres plenty of coyotes but i think we might need to change our tactics a bit. These vids are great learning tools for us, especially since you guys are also hunting NY dogs. Really appreciate it, keep them coming!

  • Good calling guys, keep the videos coming!!!
