Hey thanks for doing this review...I'm looking into this exact model, have it on hold but haven't pulled the trigger yet....but after seeing this I'm gonna have to bite the bullet.

this is my favorite gun by far. i love its combination of simplicity and modernization. best 1911 ever.

the custom 2 is an affordable model basically all you need are better sights and its loaded. maybe crimson laser. you have everything in a gun you want or need with out the 2,300 dollar price. custom 2 is basically the like all the others on the inside except the gold match... kimber your not going to go wrong. but you are right kimber mags are crap. chip mccormick and wilson combat for mags
