Part-I in series of videos about Guy/N7UN and I while on a QRP expedition and backpacking into the Needles area of Canyonlands, Utah. Guy was using his K1 and inverted vee switching dipole. I used my ATS3A, FT-817ND and Buddistick with prototype Shockcord Mask. Lots of DX and Fun were had over the 3-day adventure! Sorry to say I had to leave my goats home as the National Park doesn't allow goats. (sigh)

  • No GOATS?!?!?! Why those Barbarians! I am certain that 'the right to keep weight bearing goats' is somewhere in the U.S. Constitution. (GRIN!)

  • @TheKC1ML He's wearing a jacket - probably too cold for those creatures.

  • What do you anchor the guy wires to?

  • I've watched a number of your vid's. Looks like great fun but I have to ask. Aren't you concerned about snakes of the poisonous kind? lol

  • but you didn't do that on 80m....? i guess it was 40meter.

  • Nice video mate! Theres still a lot of magic in radio...

  • @iz0hcc

The MP1 antenna is realy good. I am using it with a 3 meters long whip on the top.

  • Love the music you use , also love the backdrop .

  • Is better the Buddistick or Mp1-Superantenna for portable operation?

I have a MP1 Antenna and it works great!
