this question was asked, but the steps go: flesh coat, mottling, veining, right? or veining then mottling?

Hi! Umm, i was wondering after you appy the mottling layer, do you pounce over the vinyl with a wedge/cosmetic wedge so it will soften the look or do you just let it dry without pouncing? :)

I am confused. So do you paint your reborn then do mottling then veins and then repeat? And if so how many times do you repeat? also I have heard you have to paint it blue from the inside is this true?

@mad74mad - yes, you do flesh coats, then mottling and veining etc...repeating is only if you want to add more mottling. Internal washes are not recommended as they can bleed out over time.

If I have an ashton drake doll (non reborned) could I send it to you to be reborned and what would the cost be?

@mad74mad - Sorry but I don't do repairs / restorations.

Is there a final coat that you put on the baby to protect it when you are finished? I noticed there is a product for sale out there to prevent shine so it doesn't look fake. Do you recommend using this?

@Sfischhaber - Yes I seal my dolls with a layer of Real Effects air dry matte lack. If your using heat set paints you can use the heat set matte varnish to prevent shine.
