on our way back to Miami in early October 2009, a passenger got sick and the last day at sea, we stopped at Key West and he got in an ambulance... a lot of people got sick on that cruise, mostly on the the lower ocean views deck...

@jboss628 I'm not so sure about that. They were not far from Tampa Bay. Then again, it could have been life or death situation.

@betteboop57 It easier and cheaper to have the coast guard fly an hh-60j Jay Hawk,then it is to turn around a cruise ship.

Look at Rescaper it is a easy system to evacuate a High Rise in case of emergency

they do... but when you need a surgeon or some special medical attention they are unable to give you on the ship.. this is what happens

there was a guy who had a heart attack on the way from st. thomas to st. maarten on valor last time i was on it we had to go back to st.thomas
