it's true but usually in football matches they dont play the entire anthems, a question of saving time.

syria is a nice country, i want to visit it someday though i'm not syrian at all. the region has a great history, how old is that anthem btw?

It would be great idea to visit the country to see the opposite side of what you may hear in Europe. You'll get the real image of the Middle East.

As for the anthem, I think it was composed in the 30ties
