I remember back in 2002-09 riding these Flxible buses. I loved those buses, I use to duplicate the sound, with my mouth, while walking around in the house lol, then, parents would get kinda annoyed to the point where they were like, "Ay buddy, can you cut that noise out!!" Good ol Times :) I also like the fact, that they were very high up, unlike these floor buses we have now. I don' want to be at eye level with a SUV, I want to look down on it lol.

I live by the route 52 line, I use to see a bunch of the Flxible buses all the time, even on the 77 Belmont line, but when 2009 came along, that's when I saw more and more New Flyer Buses on both lines.
Man I Missed Those Buses.

I was Very Lucky To Ride A Cummins Flxible on the #51 Back in 1999

I sure wish Miami still had their Flexibles. Those were the best buses in service.

I once had the chance to drive this series 5745-5764. I drove #5750, that was a bad ass bus! Probably the best bus Ive ever driven. It was fast and powerful! I had it for five hours on Milwaukee ave. When it cam etime to run it back to Forest Glen Garage I was sad to give it up. I knew this would probably be the first and last time I would ever drive these.

The other 19 were taken out of service in mid-2007 and have been scrapped or still sitting in the CTA junkyard. 5746 is still in service as of 1/4/08 and is based out of Kedzie Garage.
