Fabulous, very haunting song from 'Waiata', got the original album back in the day, well I've got all the Enz albums on vinyl. For some reason 'Waiata' has been renamed 'Corroberee' just ordered the CD. Thanks for sharing, brought back happy carefree memories AHH BLISS!

Hi. I just checked on Wikipedia, the only country to name 'Waiata', 'Corroboree' was Australia, the rest of the world kept 'Waiata' as the title. I bought the CD from Australia hence my confusion over the title. So apologies to anyone who was offended by my mistake.

You guys will never believe what I went through to find this tune-I won't bore you with the details!!! iIhave loved this song and had the same part stuck in my head for years. This, hopefully will end that.....Love to you all-Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday .Hearts and kisses!!!!

@Irishdrummer63 Hey there, I'm moving to San Francisco in 2013, it would be a high point of my life to meet Neil. I have slavishly followed Enz/House all my life (well, not all my life, but since 1981). Can this be arranged? I'm not a deranged fan with a revolver or anything, I'm a respectable middle aged housewife. And I want to hear more from the Finn Brothers!

Maori word and therefore too strange for the American market.

I think this is one of my favorite songs from this album, the whole album is off the chain in my opinion, the songwriting is classic, and I listen to all genres of music; a listener of lyrics and music......period, this is good stuff..... My next favorite..."Even ships of the night, send out the alarm... my face is turning white in case of emergency, I wonderif I might....slow down rest up" Yeah!

Split Enz have that lovely melodic warmth about them and this is a great example. Joy to the ears.

The vid is a bit odd, but the song is typical fantastic Split Enz. One of my favorite bands, definitely.
