G20 Toronto- Police surround and attack small group of protesters at Queen and Spadina

Warning: Violence and Language. This is footage I took on sunday june 27 at G20 in Toronto. My sister and I were participating in a peaceful protest march. Everyone was singing and chanting, but absolutely no violence, and no one wearing bandanas or throwing things. We marched west on queen street, but our progress was blocked at spadina avenue. We didnt realize until it was to late that we we're divided from the main group and surrounded. By then it was to late. The cut I get over my left eye is from the unprovoked jab from a cops riot shield. What you dont see is the beating I got after they dragged me away...(no proof, other than pictures of bruises) We were detained for 6 hrs, without a phone call, denied a bathroom, NO CHARGES.

Can someone tell me why the police stopped this peaceful protest? What made the police think those people were armed, causing any harm and/or posing a threat? I just don't see it. All I do see is that their rights were being violated. And if the charter of rights and freedoms really was suspended during that time, doesn't that mead the gov't knowingly endangered citizens?

Next time, let's bring a line of shields too... Hockey gear is common here... Looks like armor, feels like armor because it IS armor.
