Great great clip, the music is intense just as the flying was.

@TheIan37 Wrong. The Douglas Havoc/Boston was a light attack aircraft that could also drop bombs as well as strafe, hence the "A" for "Attack". The Martin Marauder, for example (B-26) was a medium bomber which could also strafe as needed, therefore the "B" for "Bomber".

@TheJapaneseCars There is a very nice WWII British flick out on DVD called "The Way To The Stars", aka "Johnny In The Clouds", which has a few minutes of Havocs. It's a great movie, one of the under-rated ones if you ask me.

There was a film clip of two A-20s flying over a Japanese harbor when one of them is shot down and crashes into the water. I have not seen this video in a long time.

A" stood for attack "B" for bomber. B20= Boston

From what i am told, the A-20 had the speed of most of the early fighter aircraft, hence the "A" in A-20.

@dooshee2 Amazing what 18 & 20 year olds were doing in that time frame, unlike todays tattooed, pierced, Red Bull & vodka swilling youth.
A-20 was a nice plane indeed. Seemed to serve my dad well enough anyway :)
