Palm Pre randomly trying to unlock itself. I also have had random "clicks" on the screen. I'll try to catch that in action.

  • Mine doesn't do this, but it does tend to shut its self off frequently. I love this phone, but it's my business phone. And I hate having to keep checking it to see if it's on or not.

  • @goshinjk If it is still under warranty than I'd suggest bringing the phone to your carrier to see if it can be repaired. I'm guessing you have Sprint? They'll give you a better fitting battery that should solve the shutting off issue. As for the phantom clicks it is probably a small crack in the screen somewhere (probably near usb door). Mine was under warranty and I was shipped another Pre.

  • This happens to me when i use a charger that is generic, not from Palm.

  • @rnx83 I don't have Sprint. I got it through Verizon. I dropped my 1st one and cracked the screen...no insurance. The store manager let us replace it with a factory refurbished one @ no cost, since I only had it less than a month. We got the ins. this time.

I saw a video addressing my problem, and it may be an issue of the battery being a hair small. The fix was to use a "gift card" as a shim to keep the battery from losing contact whenever the phone is jostled . I may try this.

I think it may be an issue with the battery being a hair too small. Saw a video about using a plastic "gift card" to as a shim to keep it from being jiggled off contact. I may try that.

  • Mine goes crazy and clicks all over the screen by itself. What did you guys find out about this cause I'm ready to throw it off my balcony.

  • mine does exactly the same - wierd.
