A tribute to the stars of NASCAR when I became a fan in 1990 and 1991. I was just a four year old back then so remembering these drivers all together brings back sweet memories. Due to the lack of older photos on the net, most pictures are from after the turn of the century, but the point gets across. The song is Waylon Jennings' "Wild Ones" a personal favorite and one I think fits.

  • forgot richard petty

  • No I didn't. The King was well past his prime in the early 1990s when this video was based.

  • This was easily Nascar's best era, now a days Nascar is far to comercialized and i can barely bring myself to watch it

  • Having a guy like Tony Stewart is what keeps me from getting into that, but once he retires it'll probably be bothersome. Thanks for watching by the way.

  • Awesome - thanks. Also.. Harry Gant, Taylorsville, NC

  • Thanks. Oops.

  • Great video. These guys were tough as nails. One of the reasons I was a huge Dale Sr fan. I remember alot of those guys racing hard in thier prime. Not like these pansies out there now.

  • Great job! Im 28 and grew up watching these guys. Not to mention Ole Waylon is one of my heros.

  • I'm 24 years old and I was brought up from birth as a die hard NASCAR fan. I'm just glad I cam remember most everything and all the battles from 1993 on. I'll never stop watching NASCAR but it will never be as good as it was in those days. I'm so jealous my father gets to remember it all. I rely on espn classic to enjoy the good ole days.

  • wow great video keeps the great memories of the good ol days going.i miss those drivers;thats why im a mark martin fan but once hes gone ill prolly stop watching nascar.its to commercialized these days its sad to see wat happened to my favorite sport

  • BAH! HUMBUG!!!! LMAO! but your rightut you are forgetting The Legend Ironhead Intimidator Dale Earnhardt Sr. bud.

  • You bet , those were the day of " thunder" I stopped watching Nascar after Sr. death they are all flakes now. Waylon? he was a natural rebel
