Best version of the Foxchase was by the Chieftains. Not fashionable to say this but it`s true. I saw them perform this in 1974 in Roscommon with just one mike. They took it really fast and the crowd loved it. Leo Rowsone`s version is also great. The slow air in the middle is majestic. Mickey Dunne does a very good version here. By the way, the fox has won the battle. There are more foxes than ever in Ireland. Vive Reynard!!!
