This outrageous file features classic Dr Smith from TV's Lost In Space synced up against audio sampling from the Green Hornet's radio theme, written and performed by Lyndon Lorenz kicking it once again as Lyn Faber exclusively for YouTube viewers.

The video samples were laid in on top of the existing song (cut on a Fostex X30 MultiTracker in 1991) at our lab on a PowerMac 7500 running Avid VideoShop. Sounds easy but it was actually a pain in the neck.

Come on: how many times do you get enough Dr Smith? Ensure yourself a treat by clicking up this free video right now.

  • That bit at the end surprises me every time.

  • @Durandal1717 Actually, this and "American Psycho" were recorded as a medley in 1991...so that's why we have the Dr Smith ending. I've been working on issuing a "Director's Cut" that reunites the two into the single piece once again

  • ...and there's enough material in the series to to make lots more videos!

  • I have the Viewmaster reels for this episode about the insane assylum.

  • Viewmasters are frickin awesome

  • Excellent work. I'm glad I stumbled onto this masterpiece. Dr. Smith is a great foil and worthy of a cool video. Col. Klink must be next!!!!

  • How can you go wrong with Dr Smith? Thanks! And yeah Col Klink...a lot of great talent & material from that era!

  • Totally insane! I had that viewmaster reel when I was growing up. Cool detail: I used to put the reel under my Tasco microscope so I could zoom in on the frame of the Jupiter 2 landing on the prison ship!

  • This one is a beauty.... Dr Smith a classic character

  • Thanks, this was just piled together, one layer atop another. After a point it just started taking a life of its own and I'm glad the twisted result keeps people entertained for 80 seconds!
