The more intellectual Muppets worship the legendary teacher Ed-Fu, who communicates his wisdom via fortune cookies as in this famous example: "Edfu say: The children of She-Who-Sells-Seashells-by-the-Seashore and He-Who-Picked-a-Peck-of-Pickled-Peppers will have spicy clams for lunch."

Zigbod, a minor deity worshiped by a subculture of Muppets, has once again demonstrated the utter poverty of his spiritual doctrinal. Yes, he's witty, yes, he can act, yes, he sings about as well as most toads, but has he build an ethical community? Does he offer hope of salvation? Could anyone gain inner peace by seeing Zigbod achieve his dream of appearing on Broadway? While it's true that most gods and goddesses are pretty self-centered, Zigbod is just about Zigbod.
