When the country rings the leaving bell youre lost

When the hate you have
For one anothers past
You can try (you can try)
You can try (you can try)
You can try
To tell the world the reason why

  • @88tclint What an intelligent comment clint. It really added to the discussion.

  • I just heard this on Radio 4 ("The Paper Round" series, Tony McCauly episode) and I thought it was Hazel O'Connor singing !

A bit more searching led me to this. Great song and interesting to find out that it wasn't released in Canada or the US because the political context of the song.

Apparently, it was written by Drafi Deutscher for Marcia Barrett when she was solo, but when she sang it with Boney M on tour is was so popular they added it to their second album.

Number 1 in Germany, UK 8.

  • I fuckin hate I.R.A scumbags. Up the U.V.F

  • @ukcommunist1979 Wow, the sheer faggotry and ignorance in your post is astounding.

  • @ukcommunist1979 If the tarriers like being irish so much they should move south of the border and stop causing conflict in the north

  • @JAYROX1969

That song isnt about what happened on Bloody Sunday. Are you British?

  • @JAYROX1969

    Its not about Ireland.

Belfast is in the UK...and always will be.

  • er no thats the Republic of Ireland, Belfast is in Northern Ireland, which is a province of the UK.
