I think the IR sensor scan speed is a bit too slow and it should track the obstacle until it clears it. (90 degrees IR sensor facing in either direction.)

Can you post the code again? The links on your site don't seem to work. I'd be really interested in what you're doing to analyse the data from the turret.

I cant exactly tell but do you have the Servos connected directly up to the Digital PWM pins for the arduino? If so, did you have any problems pulling to much current through your arduino?

I use an digitilPin with digitalWrite function. I dont use pwm for the sensors. There is the webpage will all the detail in the information part of this video.
