GH 07.22.99 - Carly helps AJ with ELQ

AJ believes Edward is trying to sabotage him at ELQ. Carly listens as AJ fills her in on the ongoings at work. Bluff, Carly says, before telling him how to infiltrate ELQ with his own personnel and people he can trust. AJ seems impressed. He and Carly kiss. Edward interrupts them, upset with AJ for missing an important meeting. AJ does just as Carly suggested and insists that there were more pressing matters to tend to. AJ and Carly hug once Edward leaves, seemingly having bought the act. Later, AJ presents Carly with a pearl necklace as a thank you.

A great opportunity lost when the writers decided to have Carly have sex with Sonny. I wanted AJ and Carly to be the next Alan and Monica or be like JR & Babe from AMC or Lucus & Sami from DAYS.

I loved Carly and AJ together.

I know. :( I stopped watching for a year in part because it became obvious that they weren't going to do a real AJ/Carly relationship. I think the final straw for me was panning away from a non-love scene to Jason looking in the window. Something like that.

I did not blame Billy Warlock for eventually leaving the show when it was obvious that the writers were never going to give him a decent storyline. They liked AJ being the perpetual loser and doormat.

it was even sweeter before Michael was born. After Carly drugged him, they could have come back from it...its a soap afterall. They really became best friends post drunken sex when she was with Tony [ew]. I really liked them together

But they changed the story dramatically when they made Jason the most important to Carly.
