Just a day at the office. This one is my T-38 office. Same guy who took James May in a U-2 flight where I did say "gobsmacked!"(with a B).

  • and one final thing do you hear the loud noise's the engines make

  • @jackrb11: yes, but the helmet & headset reduce the volume of the engine noise.

  • dude you are beast but in air force training do all pilots have to fly the Jayhawk

  • @jackrb11: These days all USAF student pilots fly the T-6 Texan-II (Pilatus PC-9) and then they are "tracked" into a Fighter track (flying T-38s) or a Heavy track (flying T-1s).

  • @jjjcabi and do you get a choice or does the air force pick which track you go to Fighter of Heavy

  • @jackrb11: It all depends on your performance relative to the rest of your class. You are in competition with everybody else in your class.

  • @zeadyis: take care of your eyes, ears, heart, and brain! Get a college degree (or get into the USAF Academy) and join either ROTC or OTS. Do NOT go to a recruiter, they will only lie to you to get you to enlist and you won't be a pilot! You must have a college degree to be a USAF pilot/officer. Ask a pilot how to be a pilot, not a recruiter trying to fill quotas.

No, not all student pilots have to fly the Jayhawk. Only those that are selected to fly non-strategic 'heavies' (big planes). About 1 per class goes to helos, ~3-4 go to T-38s (future fighter/bomber guys), and a few go to T-44s (briefly) who then go on to be C-130 bubbas. (I'm a T-6 IP). Cheers!

  • hi cabi you need to make a full video of the flight and stick the same music on it from your u2 film with james may and i think you will become the best known pilot on utube , u have a great job , keep up the good work .

  • @jjjcabi that's very helpful and i live in Australia and would the USAF let me in if i went and got a university degree because there are no collages in Australia

  • What kind of cam did you use to record? I am looking to buy one for my bf's last flight in a t-38.
