  • Thanks for uploading this. By the way, I remember the African American male dancer at about 2:30. I met him years ago at the Graham studio in New York. It's nice to see him on this video. Also nice to see Terese Capucilli (sp?) on the video. She is very nice.

  • I worked with so many of the people here. I'm wondering exactly when most of the interviews were captured? I was a musician for the school/company from '85 ~ '95.

  • Ahhh Martha Graham. She was so so strong and inspiring.

  • I think I left for Jose Limon in '59. Really liked Geordie...that was also my nickname.

Who'se alive and who's not..Hellen McGhee? Gene McDonald?

    Cheers,

    George

  • Thanks for responding. Were you still there in 1959? That's when I began. I worked in the office, helping Geordie--- for a while. Yeah, the early dancers were like giants to me. Such great artists I was thrilled to be there. I had a real crush on Akiko Kanda. Ah, Youth!

  • My first class with Graham was in 1955. How much I loved all the early dancers, and wish there had been others on the video. We were all so young!

  • How Great to see her work being given to the next generation of dancers. Inspiring.
