@allusernamestaken01 Hey, it works for Porsche. Once they got rid of the swing axle on the Corvair and went to a more modern independent system (I believe '65 was the first year for that), all they needed to do was fatten up the rear tires a bit to add stability to the rear-engine design. It has great traction in a straight line but simply needs more rear tire than front to increase stability. The main problem with rear-engine designs is the fact that most people will drive them incorrectly.

@bicycleguy111 true. a reason why it was featured in a scene from M. Night Shyamalan The Happening in the middle of corn field Found Off Road Deserted. if it was a Camaro Chevelle Corvette Corscia Covair or Chevette (I had good memories with those) or in the case of the Truck Driver a Silverado. you would have seen a dead passengers inside of those. the ones you saw rear ending into the tree trying to commit suicide those were pinto owners they wouldn't be caught dead from suicide in one

wow..talk about one sided propaganda from chevy ,,,funny they talk about the brakes having more life then the stang but they dont tell you the chevy uses cheaper bonded [glued] brake material ,and you could get disc brakes on a stang .they point out the chevy doesnt need power steering cuzz it was not optional on the chevy ,,or was a/c or p/b or a 225 or271 hp motor and in 1 year they sold a million of stangs how well did corvair do ?,what car is still in production????
I like the Corvair better, because there's too many mustang fanboys
