David Ahenakew Bull crap

There are 3 problems with the video. Problem #1. The laws should not have and say over what people can say. David Ahenakew should be allowed to say what ever he wants about who ever he wants. Its not the courts place to decide what is offensive to people.Problem #2. The native community has brought this on themselves by demanding that any negative speech against the natives be deemed as hate speech and/or racist. Problem #3. This video show more Hypocrisy in the native community. If a native speaks out about a race of people he gets a lawyer to say "We can all have opinions". Unless of course your opinion is negative against the native community. Then its racist and offensive an hate speech. Again. David Ahenakew should not have even been taken to court or fined for his comments. That's his opinion and its his to deal with. I just hope that the native community can see how things come full circle and your demands on other people might just come around to affect you and your own beliefs. LET PEOPLE SAY WHAT THEY WANT TO SAY UNLESS THEY ARE ADVOCATING VIOLENCE AGAINST PEOPLE!!!!

I think what winnipegstupidity is missing is the fact that racist government policy and racist laws control the lives of natives from the day they're born. These policies and laws come from the highest authorities in the country and they are active 24/7. Ahenakew's remarks, when compared to the treatment of natives in Canada, are trivial. The time has come for Canada to end it's racist policies and endorse the UN Declaration of Indigenous Rights.

Winnipegstupidity lives in the hood and has never seen anyone force any native into the merchants hotel. I don't recall seeing any police forcing 3 and 4 year old children in the streets at 3am. I don't recall any military forcing 15 year old girls to get pregnant. I don't recall any law on the book forcing native boys into gangs or police forcing the gangs beating up 95 year old women AFTER robbing them. I don't know of any policies that tell natives to get involved with deadbeat dads. Nice try

If Ahenakew's remarks are as you say "trivial" then I sould be able to say that "I am scared of indians" because of my personal expierence with them. But my own opinion based on real life events that happened in my life will be overlooked and I will be views as "racist comments" and I will probably get my ass kicked. So don't try to pretend that his comments are "Trivial" when any negative light shed on the native community is viewd as racist no matter how true it is.

The problem is not that he said that. The problem is that he is a part of a community that everyday calls any negative observations about the native community RACISM but he went ahead and said that the JEWS cause world war II.
