Indoor Disc Dog Playday

Is it Summer yet? The Washington Owners of Flying Disc Dogs have started their dog training sessions early this year, avoiding the snow and mud by securing an indoor training facility. Okay, it's not our facility, but when we're there it feels like it's our facility. We're always looking for new experiences for our dogs, and taking an indoor practice was a really good idea. Dog training and exercise in the winter can be a real messy adventure, but at least once in a while it's a good idea to get out of the cold and have a decent practice. The WOOFD2 summer schedule of gigs, events and competitions is coming together nicely. We are going to have lots of fun and play lots of frisbee with our dogs. We're really hoping that we can get some new people involved this year, and we probably will. Disc dog is a fairly low stress activity for dogs and their owners -- all you need is a field and disc. The facility used for this practice is located in Fife, Washington, and it is a first rate facility. Their set for dog training, flyball, agility and just about anything else dogs might want to do. WOOFD2 was founded about 11 years ago when a group of dog lovers in the Puget Sound area of Western Washington joined together to have fun, advocate positive reinforcement training, and to support canine welfare and rescue efforts.
