@OKandNOWwhat You have no final authority, except your intellect and I do have an email from a Muslim who presented proof from the commentaries and corrupt translations. The cults (LDS, Catholic, etc.) would also agree with you as they have multiple authorities. You can have your "immeasurably elucidated by knowledge of the original languages", but as for me, I can tell others that when they read the KJV, they are reading the very words of God. Good word about preaching in English, but I was referring to individual comprehension & right dividing of the Word, which is immeasurably elucidated by knowledge of the original languages.

As to Muslims agreeing with me, friend, you ascribe to me a view which I neither stated nor do I hold. I appreciate your zeal for the integrity of Scripture, but when your polemic strays to false attribution, you may want to consider getting permission from Jesus before you press "post." Bless U

Are you kidding??? I have preached and witnessed to Muslims many times and they use KJV-type arguments for their most unholy Qur'an!!! What are you talking about. If you put the Qur'an through textual criticism, it fails miserably but the Bible comes through with an A (the KJV with a B). You're dumb arguments actually give Muslims ammunition, I know because I have heard them and I have read them.

i dont see why new translation of the same ancient text is bad if anything it should be good because now with our greater knowledge it will be more correct translation.
