Today I heard from my doctor that I do have an underactive thyroid. This is something I've suspected for years although the TSH test always comes back normal. I found out recently that there are other tests that can and should be run if you have a lot of symptoms and really feel like something is wrong.

So I will have to take medicine every day, at least I will feel good every day again. No more tiredness, cloudy thinking, achy joints, heart palpitations, chronic ear infections, sudden weight gain, etc... No more working so hard at being healthy while feeling terrible.

Even with low thyroid I've lost 60 lbs with diet and exercise. Can't wait to see what happens once my thyroid is normal and I keep up the exercise!

If you aren't feeling like you should, find a doctor that cares about you, ALL of you. Live the best life! You deserve that!

  • This vid speaks for me because I went thru the same process. I experienced hair loss, dry skin, dramatic fatigue fluxes and increasing weight gain; all under the care of the same doctor of over 5yrs. I was told to diet better, workout harder and change my environment, basically ignoring the medical side of my issues and focusing on the physical symptoms. I fired him and found a doc that listened. MizzFitness is correct. Why pay for poor care? It's your health so take control of it! Thanks.

  • @bldgamystery So glad you liked it! I hope you are doing well!

  • Hi there, I have hypothyroidism... And some of the things you have said I can relate to. Shortly after being diagnosed I had a few heart problems - I had 24hour monitoring and it was found that my heart beats faster than "it should be". This was also found to be the trigger for a lot of anxiety attacks I was having over a 2 month period. I believe this was related to my thyroid problems. I agree wholeheartedly with you - you know your own body - you know when something's not right. I did.

  • @ToadPurse You definitely know your body better than a doctor! They know the anatomical body as a whole but not yours, where it's been, & what it's going through.

  • i got a blood test and my tsh levels are high, now they want to give me pills(levothyroxine), do you think i should take them or get more test done, like t3 t4 vitamin D iron..... are you takeing any thing for your hypothyroid?

  • @grimreaper957 I took the meds for a while, it went up, & then I went off everything for a while. I've been eating really healthy (yuck! lol), sleeping more, getting enough water, etc... I'm feeling better every day!!

  • @walkerofthenight17 TSH, T3, T4, all the vitamins, etc... even have them check hormones. I don't know the costs of the tests.

  • @742Timbox There's so much hope!!! I'm posting an update!

  • @Billyjackson843 No death. Headed in a very positive direction!

  • @whipcreme89 They prescribed my naturethroid along with Vitamin D, B12, and Folic Acid. Everything, including my estrogen, was all sorts of out of whack but I now feel great!

  • @moniquesanhueza I'm doing so much better! I will definitely check you out!

  • @TheQueenIsWithin Definitely research a good doctor in your area and discuss everything, EVERYTHING with them! Tell them how you feel, what you are experiencing, & demand help!

  • @TheMisslizzyO Good luck!! I'm posting an update right now. Sorry it's a little lengthy but a LOT has changed and I feel amazing!!!
