Cziffra plays Scarlatti with clarity and brilliant articulation. Three of the Sonatas are new to his discography and he never recorded them again. A pity he didn't play more of this composer. The Liszt piece recorded 'live' in Turin in 1959 is the Fantasy and Fugue on the name BACH (a transcription by Liszt of his own organ work) and not the Fantasy and Fugue in G minor advertised. Nevertheless, this piece and Funerailles are given dramatically exciting performances. Great rarities!

Thanks @piano345 for your comments and feedback. FYI we have posted this correction on the ICA Classics website. As you point out, the actual track which is featured here is Fantasy and Fugue on the Theme B-A-C-H. We're glad you enjoy it all the same though :-)
