In part five of Ray Reussner's "Sound of the Guitar" Ray performs "La Maja de Goya" by Enrique Granados. His narration and slides give us a glimpse of the famous 1937 Herman Hausser guitar of Andres Segovia, as well as Ray building the guitar used for this recording that was modeled after it. The 37 Hauser now resides in the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
This is the fifth of seven parts. The documentary was recorded at Mission San Antonio in Southern California (founded 14 July 1771). Produced by Tyler Oliver and Ron May. Courtesy of Ray Reussner. Please note, the high quality full resolution stereo DVD with additional tracks will be available soon on Ray's website listed below.
Ray built the guitar used in this video after the famous 1937 Herman Hausser of Andres Segovia using detailed specs by Richard Brune. Rays guitar, his 14th may soon be available. Contact us through youtube. Only serious offers will be entertained.
Ray Reussner studied with Andres Segovia off and on for 20 years and carries on his legacy through an intimate knowledge of his technique and repertoire. THank you for posting this video it was very interesting.
i have to say though, you really need to balance the narration against the sound of the guitar much better.
Perhaps you should get a pro audio engineer to help you.
I feel certain this would add to the video.
Thank you

You tube caused this problem when it forced this stereo recording into the mono environment. The actual DVD is in stereo and has an expanded narration which has been remixed for a better balance. This video is a preview a the first draft and is for promotional purposes only. It is a preview of an early draft. The actual DVD, also, includes a bonus feature of all the tracks without narration, as well as, the full length version of tis tune.
